Feel all the greatness of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in one day! From Vienna to Bratislava and Budapest. In one day you will be able to feel the atmosphere of three capitals of different countries: Austria, Hungary, and Slovakia. Can you imagine that it used to be one state? That's what our trip will be about! Vienna is the capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. At the beginning of our journey, I will tell the story of Vienna and how the Empire was born. Bratislava is a cozy medieval city with a unique Slovak flavor. This city was the coronation place of the Hungarian Kingdom. We'll stop in the city center for coffee and a traditional Slovak dessert. Budapest is a majestic city with amazing buildings built during the heyday of the capital of Hungary. Once called the “Queen of the Danube,” Budapest consists of two parts, Buda and Pest. Our car-walking tour will affect both parts of this city. In Budapest, I will show a few Hungarian restaurants with local cuisine.

About Puerstner

A pub-style restaurant with a mountain cabin feel known for dishes like pork schnitzel and Ratsherrpfanne, roasted pork with creamy mushrooms and spätzle. The goulash and black pudding are highlights, though desserts like apple strudel can be inconsistent. Reservations recommended due to local popularity.

A FOODIE’S MOST ENJOYABLE BISTROT/PUB-DINING in Vienna😎😎😎. It is very popular to locals and so RESERVATIONS are RECOMMENDED. The whole place has the feel of a mountain cabin pub. The staff are very welcoming. It’s home cooking Austria with all the refreshing local beers. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 the star of the day is the Fried Liver Veal: very surprisingly flavorful. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 the Medallions of Pork is a very lovely hearty pork 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 the Goulash is luscious hearty stew 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 and the Schnitzel, an ungodly humongous portion but most tender and juicy meat. SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING. Highly recommended 👏👏👏👏👏

Very atmospheric restaurant, friendly service. The food was mixed - goulash and black pudding mains were excellent. Hugely disappointed microwaved and stodgy apple strudel, one of the worst I've ever eaten, plus pressure to take the nut schnapps. OK to go to but be careful what you eat.

This was all 5 stars for me. The atmosphere is darling with unique and authentic feel. The food was delicious from the appetizer to dessert!!! But you could tell from the aromas of the dishes that passed us by that each meal was carefully prepared and cooked to perfection. Our server Alex was the cherry on top, with his friendly and welcoming personality! I would certainly go back to and recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Vienna.

Second time coming here while visiting Vienna. Tried the pork schnitzel before and this time ordered the “Ratsherrpfanne” (pork roasted with white mushrooms a la creme and spätzle, gratinated with cheese). Both dishes were consistently good. Schnitzel was good and Austrian style (no sauce), but they’re able to serve a sauce on the side if you’d like. I have had better but this one is also very good! As for the pork in crème sauce- it was delicious and new to me as I’ve never tried an Austrian dish like this one. Make a reservation if you can as it gets very busy during dinner time!

I'm so glad we came here during our Vienna trip to try some local food. The veal schnitzel was delicious! The service was excellent too, but what really made our visit was the decor and the cosy atmosphere. We would definitely come back!
