Feel all the greatness of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in one day! From Vienna to Bratislava and Budapest. In one day you will be able to feel the atmosphere of three capitals of different countries: Austria, Hungary, and Slovakia. Can you imagine that it used to be one state? That's what our trip will be about! Vienna is the capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. At the beginning of our journey, I will tell the story of Vienna and how the Empire was born. Bratislava is a cozy medieval city with a unique Slovak flavor. This city was the coronation place of the Hungarian Kingdom. We'll stop in the city center for coffee and a traditional Slovak dessert. Budapest is a majestic city with amazing buildings built during the heyday of the capital of Hungary. Once called the “Queen of the Danube,” Budapest consists of two parts, Buda and Pest. Our car-walking tour will affect both parts of this city. In Budapest, I will show a few Hungarian restaurants with local cuisine.

About NENI am Naschmarkt

This spot offers generous portions of Austrian dishes with Middle Eastern influences like the Jerusalem plate and sabish. Try the popcorn falafel for a crispy texture and follow with halva ice cream or knafeh for dessert. Outdoor seating can be hit or miss on cleanliness, but the salmon and cocktails, particularly the Hugo, stand out.

I sat outside, but the tables were dirty. I tried the Hamshuka. The texture of the hummus was really good, but I found it lacking in flavor. I don’t think I would order it again. The pita bread, however, was excellent.

Really good food! Can recommend the popcorn falafel and melanzani! Both the halva ice cream and knafeh are fantastic desserts as well!

We ate here for the first time and ordered the Jerusalem plate and sabish. The food was very good and the portions were generous. The price is reasonable for the quality, especially considering that it is in Vienna. We came back twice just for the desserts, and they are amazing. The knafeh was the best I have ever eaten — it was not too sweet or heavy. The staff is very friendly.

Everything was delicious, both the food and the cocktails. The salmon was amazing. Thank you. The young girl at the bar with long hair made an incredibly delicious hugo.
