Feel all the greatness of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in one day! From Vienna to Bratislava and Budapest. In one day you will be able to feel the atmosphere of three capitals of different countries: Austria, Hungary, and Slovakia. Can you imagine that it used to be one state? That's what our trip will be about! Vienna is the capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. At the beginning of our journey, I will tell the story of Vienna and how the Empire was born. Bratislava is a cozy medieval city with a unique Slovak flavor. This city was the coronation place of the Hungarian Kingdom. We'll stop in the city center for coffee and a traditional Slovak dessert. Budapest is a majestic city with amazing buildings built during the heyday of the capital of Hungary. Once called the “Queen of the Danube,” Budapest consists of two parts, Buda and Pest. Our car-walking tour will affect both parts of this city. In Budapest, I will show a few Hungarian restaurants with local cuisine.

Really nice place, staff are all very attentive and friendly. We were served with a bread basket and homemade paprika butter (free of charge). We ordered the two soups to start, they were delicious and served nice and hot. We shared the pork knuckle for main, it was really good, but maybe a little over cooked as there were a few dry bits but it was really tasty with perfect crispy skin and came with all the sauces and accompaniments which were lovely. We ordered a side of baked potatoes, they were a bit bland but all in all it was a lovely meal and would recommend. The venue is cosy and there also was a live pianist playing 🎹

Absolutely Brilliant. Walked in here as I was starving and found this place by chance - chance was definitely my friend today. My Order was 1x Classic Weiner Schnitzel, 1x Saschatorte, 2x Gosser Bier and 1x Fanta (330ml bottle) The food was marvelous. The schnitzel was super thin, crispy and flavourful. The added accompaniments of the cranberry sauce and the potato salad elevated the schnitzel to another level. The Saschatorte was overpoweringly sweet but still amazing, not sure what was in the centre as it looked like marmalade but it added tartness and yet more sweetness. The Gösser Bier was great and went down an absolute treat and the Fanta was cold when served - which is all you can ever ask for. The service was outstanding. The servers were kind and polite - very understanding of my poor German skills and spoke to me in English without a fuss. They took proper good care of me and checked in regularly. I really appreciated their friendliness. The restaurant itself was relatively quiet when I first entered but busied up as I left and the way it was set out was beautiful - definitely deserving of a high-end reputation. The cost - whilst steep - was definitely something I was willing to pay for the quality I received. It cost €59.50, roughly converted to £52 (not including an optional tip which I did for €15). Overall, I'd definitely eat here again.
